At SkyHook Cranes, we do more than lift heavy things—we lift communities, support progress, and help build the future. This Juneteenth, we pause to reflect on the importance of freedom, unity, and the work that still needs to be done.
What Is Juneteenth?
Juneteenth, celebrated every June 19th, marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally learned of their freedom—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. It’s a day of remembrance, resilience, and celebration of Black freedom and achievement.
Building a Stronger, More Inclusive Industry
The crane and construction industries are built on hard work, trust, and teamwork. On Juneteenth, we recommit to creating job sites—and communities—that are inclusive, respectful, and fair for all. That means hiring equitably, offering growth opportunities, and recognizing the value that diversity brings to every lift, every build, and every project.
Lifting Up Our Communities
We’re proud to serve the communities around us—not just through crane lifts, but by showing up for causes that matter. Whether it’s supporting local youth programs, investing in safety and training for all workers, or honoring days like Juneteenth, we believe lifting up others is part of the job.
A Moment to Reflect
As cranes rise across skylines and homes take shape, we remember that real progress is about more than construction—it’s about building a better world together.
From all of us at SkyHook Cranes, Happy Juneteenth. May we continue to lift with purpose, build with pride, and honor freedom every day. 💪
